HOW TO FIND A HIGHQUALITY FOOTBAG
The world’s best freestyle footbags are handmade — not mass-produced. Decades of experimenting with materials, fills, panel shapes, and stitching techniques by a small group of passionate stitchers in the footbag community has produced bags of the highest quality. These are the bags the pros use.
Typical prices: $30–40 for a 14-panel bag (1–2 hours of work), around $45–55 for a 32-panel bag (2–3 hours). Prices vary by stitcher and by region.

Loren
Loren has been making bags since around 2014, using Ultrasuede Light with stainless steel disc fill. Standard bags are 1.75” diameter at 65g, with custom weight available by request. Loren also makes minis at 1.5” diameter. Current backlog is 2–3 days.

Karibou Footbags
Karel has been stitching since 2011 and specializes in bags that balance freestyle and circle kicking. Most bags are made with a thicker Amaretta fabric mixed with UltraSuede, filled with stainless steel and plastic, and weigh between 45 and 55 grams. Current backlog is 2–3 days.

Mäcrobag
Marco's philosophy is simple: performance comes first. Every footbag is handmade in Germany using only carefully selected high-end materials to ensure durability, precision, and optimal playability. Designed for serious players and ambitious newcomers alike, Mäcrobag delivers uncompromising quality without unnecessary gimmicks. No shortcuts, just functional design, expert craftsmanship, and bags that work. Current backlog is 2–5 days. Including international shipping, expect ~2 weeks. US shipping is 4–6 weeks including shipping times.

Lima Footbags
Roy was a dedicated kicker from 2005 to 2009, then returned in 2024 to pick up the sport of freestyle footbag and footbag stitching. Since then he’s made hundreds of footbags and takes custom orders. Roy makes regular, large, and XL footbags from Ultrasuede Light and Ultrasuede Soft, typically using steel and plastic filler, and sometimes lead if requested. Lima Footbags range from 60 to 75 grams. All bags are made to order. Current backlog is ~3 weeks.

Charlie Bag
Charlie is based in NC and makes all bags to order in 8, 14, and 32 panel styles using primarily Ultrasuede Light and Ultrasuede ST. Not currently taking orders. Taking orders again in August. Check out Charlie Bag’s website at charliebag.com.

McEggbeats

G’s Footbags
Garrett is an NYFA member and engineer who got hooked on the quest to make the highest quality footbag. For him, designing footbags is a combination of science experiment and treasure hunt — each bag is an experiment, and tracking down the right materials is an adventure. He is also the creator of the Sensorbag, a smart footbag with embedded sensors, and is working with Ivan on Paneler — a tool to design footbags and create stitching templates. His footbag goals are to get more people out to NYFA sessions and East Coast tournaments, and to grow and support the passionate stitcher community. Send him a DM if you want to learn more about stitching! Not currently taking orders. Check out sensorbag.com and paneler.app.

I² Footbags
Ivan started I² Footbags in 2012 in a quest to make the perfect bags for his friends and himself. Since then he’s perfected his bags using modern technologies and processes to ensure consistent and great quality for every one he makes. Not currently taking orders. Open for orders again in 2027. All bags are made to order. Check out I² Footbags’s website at ivansbuilds.com.

Tee Bags
Trey's goal is to make bags that help beginners fall in love with freestyle the way he did when he first played with a quality bag. He wants players to pick up one of his bags and go "wow, this is fun." Stitching is one of his favorite hobbies — he spends his free time learning about materials and figuring out how to make bags tailored to exactly what a player wants. Current backlog is 3–4 days.

SY Footbags
Sam is based in North Texas and makes his bags to order, mainly 32 panel styles using Ultrasuede LT and/or Ultrasuede ST. He offers a variety of colors and your choice of filler and fill percentage. Sam makes freestyle and hybrid-play options and takes all orders through IG DMs. 100% effort and attention to detail goes into every stitch — no shortcuts. Not currently taking orders. Open for orders again mid-August.

Sean Dog Sacks
Sean started playing footbag in the mid 90’s, soon learning to stitch, and has been working on perfecting his craft ever since. He finds stitching footbags to be an almost meditative practice, with an emphasis on 32 panel freestyle bags using Ultrasuede LT and steel fill. Current backlog is ~5 days.

Hacky Snack Footbag
Jake got hooked on freestyle in high school after discovering some pro videos online. He drilled almost every day for years and picked up stitching along the way because quality bags were hard to find. Now he’s back at it and stitching to supply locals and keep the footbag scene alive and healthy. Not currently taking orders. Order via IG DMs or email [email protected].
